By the week of March 23rd, the organization expects to have another drive-thru testing site at its Marathon Health Center, 2805 Overseas Hwy, in the Florida Keys. Doris Ison is the nonprofit's largest health center serving South Florida for more than 45 years, including urgent care and primary care. https://www.chisouthfl.org/
For those people presenting symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath you can use the services and get tested immediately, however for those presenting severe symptoms such as fever, cough and shortness of breath will need to go to the Hospital ER instead.
The testing sites are free to the general public, you can be tested Monday through Friday from 9 am to noon. The sooner you get tested the better the chances of early treatment and survival. The elderly population 70's and 80's should stay home as much as possible unless they are presenting symptoms, in such case they should go to an ER immediately, do not wait to have severe symptoms.
Those who meet the testing criteria are asked to call the nonprofit first at 305 252-4820 to schedule an appointment.
